# How we verify listings

Contractor listings come from EBMUD's PSL Program Contractor List (a courtesy list, August 2026), with each license checked against CSLB's License Master file (2026-10-28). Program facts come from EBMUD (ebmud.com) and the Regional PSL site (eastbaypsl.com), read on 2026-10-12, plus the City of Berkeley's program pages.

## What we check

* Each city page states its source and date.
* Every listed contractor is on EBMUD's current contractor list, and its license number was checked against the CSLB License Master file. Contractors whose license shows a suspension are left off.
* Services shown are the ones each contractor self-certified to EBMUD; we haven't verified them.

## What we don't verify

* Workmanship, prices, insurance or availability.
* Phone numbers and websites added later by a provider, until the claim process checks them against the official record.
